By downloading, installing, or using Stoic Up ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Stoic Up is a wellness application that provides:

• Memento Mori visualization (life in weeks)
• AI-generated Stoic wisdom notifications
• Goal tracking across four life areas
• Week reflections and mood tracking (Premium)
• Stoic quotes library

The App is designed for philosophical reflection and intentional living, not medical treatment.

3. Philosophical & Wellness Disclaimer

• NOT a substitute for professional mental health care
• NOT intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition
• The mortality-focused content may not be suitable for everyone
• If you experience distress, stop using immediately and seek professional help
• Consult a mental health professional if you have concerns about anxiety or depression

The Stoic philosophy and Memento Mori practice are presented for reflection and motivation, not as therapeutic interventions.

4. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be 13+ years old to use Stoic Up
• Provide accurate information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Stoic Up Premium

• Billed through Apple App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled
• Prices subject to change with notice
• Cancellation via App Store settings

• Monthly: $4.99/month
• Yearly: $39.99/year

Free Tier

The free tier includes core features forever with no charge.

Refunds

Refunds are managed by Apple App Store. Follow Apple's refund policy and contact Apple Support for refund requests.

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
• Share your account credentials
• Upload malicious content
• Use the AI features to generate harmful content
• Violate others' intellectual property rights

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of Stoic Up are owned by Stoic Up and protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws. Stoic quotes in the public domain remain in the public domain.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any personal data you create in the App (goals, reflections, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to use this data to provide the service.

8. AI-Generated Content

Notifications are generated by AI based on your goals and preferences. While we strive for accuracy and appropriateness:

• AI content may occasionally be imperfect
• Content is philosophical, not professional advice
• You can adjust intensity levels to control content tone
• Report any concerning content via support

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, AND SECURITY OF DATA.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOIC UP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; EMOTIONAL DISTRESS FROM MORTALITY-FOCUSED CONTENT; OR ANY DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stoic Up harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, for fraudulent activity, or for any reason with notice.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• Subscription charges stop (no refunds for partial periods)

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and notification in the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Stoic Up regarding the App.
